Faulty Memory - how do I diagnose?

Hi guys, so I've been getting this error. From CSGO.

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8285-YOAZ-6049

I've tried all solutions - reinstalling, installing on another hard drive, etc.

But I suspect it's my RAM. I've been also getting errors from GTA 5 (On a different hard disk other than the ones I've installed CSGO on) like failed Zlib Call. Please reboot or reinstall game. (I've rebooted and reinstalled, same s***).

So yes, it's my ram. But I'm not exactly sure how to diagnose it. I've ran memtest86 via thumbdrive and it passed. But I only ran it once.

Alright, here's what I want. I need someone to tell me how to run it overnight and all and how to find the faulty memory module. This error is pissing me off and it keeps coming back after every like 4 games and it keeps getting me a competitive cooldown ban. I will throw that faulty memory module and replace it. My ram is 4 x 2 GB. I'm not the best with ram, so help me out.

I will get a compressed can of air and I will spray clean the memory slots. If it doesn't work, it's the ram. Last time I took a Ram stick out and it looked pretty dusty, so when I was putting it back in dust may have sneaked into the memory slot.

I've also tried refreshing the OS.

Thanks

Take them all out, clean the contacts w/ isopropyl alcohol (> 90%) ... use compressed air to clean out slots

Try running just 2 x 4GB in the proper slots as detailed in your MoBo manual.

Just start memtest86+, go to bed and look in morning.... if it fails use just one till you identify which is failing.... be sure to test another stick in same slot to rule out the slot.

I don't have 2 x 4GB, only 4 X 2GB. 4 sticks of 2GB. All the slots are filled.

Yes I was well aware of that. But you should be aware that running 4 sticks is a harder task then running 2 sticks on your memory controller. The questions is :

1. Is it a bad stick ?
2. Is it a bad slot ?
2. Does the memory controller have enough voltage to run those 4 sticks

So..... to narrow down the cause of your problem..... you could run 1 stick at a time to determine which one it is, or you could do it much quicker by running two at a time.

Running 2 sticks successfully in slots 1 and 3 rules out 2 slots and 2 sticks
Running 2 sticks successfully in slots 2 and 4 rules out 2 slots and 2 sticks

In that case we demonstrate that, your RAM needs more DRAM voltage to run 4 sticks.

If one of those fails..... you now know that it is one of those two sticks and the other two are fine.

As for how to run overnight, simple.... don't stop the test. It stops when you tell it to stop. If it doesn't I'm not familiar with what you are using.
