Faulty module: atidxx64 causing all my games to crash

Thinks I tried:
1. Reformatting my PC
2. Using latest AMD drivers
3. Using Beta AMD drivers
4. I have tried playing without AA

my specks are
Windows 7
i5 3570k
Sapphire AMD 7950
8gb ram
PC power and cooling 750W

uh I'm not sure, couple moths ago maybe but I haven't really attempted to fix it then as I didn't have time to play games. Now I have more time and am looking for a solution to this.

who mentioned nvidia? did you even read the thread or just spewing generalities?

Next time I buy a GPU I will buy NVIDIA, I'm getting sick of AMD

1) uhh...amd?
2) 64bit (it's 2015)
3) Games that crash with the atidxx64.dll error are BF4, Fallout 4, GTA V, (Starcraft 2 also crashes but there is no report in Event Viewer but I'm assuming the crash is due to the same error as other games)

PS: I accidently selected your answer as best answer

I will try that. I will get back to you with the results.

If you have graphics or driver issues, one of the most common fixes is a clean uninstall and removal of your graphics drivers.

To uninstall your drivers, first download and run Display Driver Uninstaller, and follow it's recommendations of booting into safe mode and ect.
(This is a direct download link so you don't grab the wrong version)
http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html

You'll download a compressed file called "[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip"
Right click and choose extract.
Go into the folder and run the DDU v##.##.exe
This will extract more files to this folder.
Run Display Driver Uninstaller.exe
Choose Yes when it asks you to boot into SafeMode.
After you've rebooted into safe mode.
When DDU comes up, if it hasn't selected your GPU manufacturer (Nvidia/AMD/Intel) then choose it from the drop down list
Press the Clean and Restart option
If a window comes up asking to disable the Windows automatic installation of display drivers click yes.

After (or before removing the old drivers, just put the new ones on the desktop or somewhere handy) rebooting back into Windows, manually download the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD, don't use auto detect, choose you GPU model and OS from the drop down lists.

OP stated he already reformatted the PC.

with that older card use a older driver I use the 13.12 for my 7850 the newer ones just have little issues in some way where the 13.12 work fine and dandy

now you may have to remove the old dll from sys32 cause the new version will not overwrite by the old and the install of the driver will replace it with its own

my atidxx64 is listed as file 8.17.10.525 - created 12-6-13

Sorry I don't know how to quote multiple reply's so I will just write a normal comment.

Seems like the issue fixed its self, I am using the 15.11 Beta Drivers but I have experienced the same crashes with these drivers earlier, so it seems like the issue was fixed overnight without me doing anything ( I am pretty sure I haven't installed/uninstalled software/drivers or updates or anything in order to fix it) I can so far play Fallout 4, SC2 and GTA V (Haven't tested other games)for 1-2hours without crashing ( I haven't played for longer than 2 hours so I can't be sure if it will not crash in 2hr+ gameplay)

I have about 150+ window updates that window wants to install but I'm gonna hold off on installing those in case my games start to crash again after installing those updates.

So again, the issue appeared out of nowhere a couple months ago, I was busy so I haven't had time to fix it. A couple weeks ago I decided to format my PC, try out old/new drivers and my games continue to experience the same problem. I admit I gave up at this point but all of a sudden I have been able to game without crashing so far.

EDIT: I will update this thread if anything changes. I'm afraid to install/uninstall any software/updates/games in case it causes my games to crash again 🙁
