Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 560Ti to a 280x.
Upgrade initially went fine.
However... after running a stress test (Furmark and CPU stress test) with mild overclocking to the CPU,
the computer will now freeze and restart every time a 3D application is started.
I also tried putting my 560Ti back in the system, and this card causes the same problem now too.
I'm reasonably confident that I have overloaded the 12V output from my old PSU, and to this end have already ordered a gruntier replacement.
My question is, is there likely to be any other causes for this problem?
PC specs:
AMD Phenom II 955 BE
2x2GB RAM
MSI 880 GMA E45 motherboard
Radeon 280X
HDD, SSD, DVD etc...
(I know that my CPU/Mpbo is old... it is next on the upgrade list!)
