My new motherboard is MSI Mag B550M Mortar Max WIFI which I bought just a week ago due to warranty status been rejected on my previous faulty and scratched motherboard.

No issue with L Connect 3 for 10 days. It then suddenly disappeared and no longer appear in Device Manager. I have another USB device connected to another header which coincidentally stopped working 3 days before the strimer disappeared. The strimer is now stuck at rainbow simply because it has been receiving power from the sata connection. Updated the chipset drivers and it did not help. I did the unprecedented thing by switching from the usb header to the usb port at the back and it worked. I've connected everything correctly and tried unplugging and plugging it. It can't be both usb headers and usb cables been faulty at the same time isn't it? The source of the problem is the usb connection, not the hub itself. Worst case scenario, I'll cut a hole in my case and let the L Connect hub run through the usb port but I still hope to resolve this situation.

update firmware and BIOS of motherboard and reinstall latest L connect
