If your Android is using factory defaults it is just as safe as other smartphone OSes. But if your iPhone is jailbroken your no safer and probably at a greater risk. Why target money conscience Android users when wealthy iPhone users are using a single device with a single version of iOS to write for?

The title should read "Sheeple malmware-type trap on smartphones".
As always, the users are the weakest links. All the security systems in the world cannot account for one's stupidity.

Are you in denial? You won't get negative comments because people care which smartphone platform you choose; You get it because you are personally a jerk. Hasn't someone tipped you off before?

"Oh no! there's a virus on my phone, and they can access my microphone and camera." For anyone that gives a crap about being "spied" on, like real spies, they all know better than to use "un-secured" devices. For the paranoid out there, that think the government is spying on them, they already put this on your phone, computer, television, smoke detector and microwave.

p.s. Thanks for wearing your tin foil hat, it gives better reception to the mind reading device.

One simple rule to follow. If you have something private and personal, don't store it electronically on any device that can connect to a network or the internet. As for working phone numbers and email addresses, who cares? They are all publicly available by trolling Facebook anyways...
