Hard to believe such groups still operate globally. Sharing movies illegally, I understand being unable to stamp that out, but ransomware for millions of dollars against US companies?! I would think the attack vectors could be closed after a single detection and tracing back the attack would allow some sort of retribution but I guess there is always another attack vector and the origin may lead to an ISP or country that won't help the US prosecute.
