My computer doesn't have a DVD drive so I will have to buy the CD version of
the game. Is there a significant difference between the two versions? In
fact, I am not even sure if the CD version is available. Local electronic
store has boxes that say PC-CD Rom, but then they also say DVD-Case.

Thank you.

No worries. It's a CD. It just comes packaged, in that version, in the
same kind of plastic case that is used for DVDs.

Brick and morter software retails have tired of the different package sizes.
It's easier for them to have pc software packages the same shorter and
narrower dimentions as what Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft insist console
software is packed in. With the consistant package sizes retailers can
display a larger variety of product in the same space, the shelves in the PC
section line up atractively with the console sections and they can by the
same store furnishings for all the packages. Thus the CD ROMs in the DVD C A
S E.

Packaging for non US versions may be different from US versions. Early
copies in the US we in a tin collectors tin that was the same height and
width as the standard CD case but was thicker. Later copies in the US are in
a card stock box, again with the same width and height as a stadard DVD case
but also with a greater thickness.
