FE error on motherboard!

Hello! I need quick help guys.
So I bought 8 gb of 1866 ram. BTW I had 8 from before. And today I put the ram in the computer, and when I turned on the computer. And went to check hiw much ram I had. It said 8gb. And I should have 16 by now.

So I took out the old one and put the new one in the slot where the old one were. And I got FE code on the motherboard. And the pc won't show up on the screen.

I put the old one in the slot, and took out the new. And now the old one doesnt work. I still get the FE error.

What should I do guys?

My motherboard is Asus Maximus VII Hero.
And the ram is Kingston HyperX 8gb 1866.

Please help!

Hi, Have you tried clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute)?

If removing all RAMs and starting the board, what code getting?

Then it might be a board or a CPU issue. Can you RMA them?

Turned out you have to push the ram even more in when it clicked the first time. Stupid me!

Good you've solved it.
Weird you got same error when no RAMs were installed.
