Hey guys i currently have a Sapphire R9 280x and it is showing my gpu is not good enough to play fallout 4 which is kind of strange was wondering if it was more feasible to upgrade crossfire the existing r9 280x or upgrade and as per the hireachy chart the upgrade would be R9 furyX. Was wondering what you guys thought.

Solution

that is because of gameworks

you need to go into the catalyst control center and override tessellation to 4x

and set godrays to medium

you need to tweak some settings as well:

Splendid
Dual cards, especially AMD don't scale well, and you still have the issue of ram.
Never heard that Fallout 4 can't be played on a 280x.
Check the min. requirements, and if you bought the game, contact the dev. or steam etc.
No reason it shouldn't work.

i went to systemrequirementslab.com to see if i can run a game or not before purchasing it and on there it does not meet the recommended settings, i was just wondering if it was worth upgrading or sticking to the current card a little longer.
