Good day,

This is my first time building a gaming rig and Im not that familiar to some of the terms when it comes to computer parts. Im from the Philippines and I would like to hear your opinion/review about the parts that Im planning to buy.

The total price of this is around 60-65k Php or $1200 - $1300

Proc: i7-6700k Skylake
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Hero VIII
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws Dual DDR4 3200
Gpu: Zotac 1060 amp 6gb
HDD: WDC Red 2TB
PSU: Corsair VS5450 power
Case: Nzxt H440 V

Solution
The red series hdd isn't made for desktop use.
Get the black. Or a blue + a SSD. To free up the cash for it I suggest:

The mainboard is overkill for your build, go with something a bit cheaper like an Asus Pro Gaming, an Asus Z170-A, a Gigabyte z170 UD3 or Gigabyte Z170 Gaming K3
Get the cheapest that is optically most appealing to.you.

3200MHz RAM shows little benefit over slower RAM but you often need to OC your CPU in order to run it stable. 2800MHz will eliminate that without sacrificing much measurable performance

The H440 is a nice case but you really don't need a full tower. A Fractal Design Define S, Thermaltake F31, NZXT source 320, NZXT phantom 240, InWin 501 or 701 and a Corsair 200r or NZXT H230 are usually less than half...

The PSU is lower grade, I know it's not easy finding a good unit in the Philippines but look around for a Corsair CXM 450/550, any XFX (except the XT) or any Seasonic or Super Flower unit

Thank you for your response sir, I was rooting for the ROG variants for my mobo but having said that it was 'overkill' what are your recommendations in order to maximize the Hero VIII or the Ranger VIII cause the price difference of the Ranger VIII is not that far from Gaming Pro. Also regarding the case, what is your top 3 recommended chassis for this build when it comes to cooling system since it's a bit hot here in my country.

Honestly I fail to see the difference between the Ranger and the Pro Gaming specs-wise. It's all looks.
The Hero is a bit better but the additional features are probably not worth it imo unless you need them specifically but 99/100 people don't.

As for the case, how hot does it get in your room?
I like cases with sound dampening, so I tend towards the Thermaltake F31, the Fractal Design Define S & the NZXT Phantom (in that order)
But it's also a matter of availability and pricing in your country.
