Hello, here are the components and below is some context. (Update: I've switched the PSU and Motherboard based on feedback, thank you).

Components: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NHBkt7
UPDATED Components: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kdzQbL

Why the new build? Need a faster productivity PC and want one that is upgradeable (why I prefer AM5 over AM4 at this point) so it can last 4+ years. Trying to get decent bang for buck. Definitely want the 32 gigs of ram and prefer the 2 TB of storage over 1 TB. Just making sure there's no serious problem/oversight with this build. Thank you in advance.

Approximate Purchase Date: In the next two weeks.

Budget Range: $800-$950 total after taxes/shipping.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 70% productivity (20-30 browser windows and one or two RAM/CPU intensive programs running at the same time. 30% gaming (1080 high for now and upgrading the GPU in 2-3 years.

Are you buying a monitor? No, I currently have a 1080p monitor and won't upgrade it until I get a different GPU.

Parts to Upgrade: Only component that's purchased is the GPU.

Do you need to buy OS:
Yes. Any places you'd recommend?

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Anything reputable. Don't mind Aliexpress.

Location: Texas, no microcenter nearby.

Overclocking: Mabe

I wouldn't use that Apevia PSU with anything in your build if you value the money that you're dropping into said system. Get this instead;

You can get the non X variant of the Ryzen 5 7600 and do with the stock cooler until you save some money to get an aftermarket cooler later down the road. I would also try and work with two SSD's, one for the OS and ap's launchers while the other SSD is the game library/scratch disk/storage of your works.

Need a faster productivity PC
Productivity can mean a lot of things, a list of apps you'll be taxing the system with is a good idea for the community to tailor your build a little better.

Definitely pick a different motherboard and power supply.

Here are a couple of B650 roundups which should give you a better idea of what to pick:

As for power supplies Apevia flat out lies about their specs a lot of the time.

HWBusters is a fantastic resource for PSUs and you should be able to find something recommended there: https://hwbusters.com/

Not as comprehensive, but generally doesn't give bad advice in the A/B tier is here which might be faster: https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

I would change the cooler and NVMe. RAM is fine, but i have more faith in G.Skill

Also, on the subject of RAM, sonce gaming isn't a concern, stock/JEDEC, higher latency RAM would be cheaper. But then, AMD CPUs like some RAM better than others, so i don't know if that saving would be wise.

I agree with Lucky, the Samsung 980 pro is overpriced for what it is. You can pickup a Crucial P3 Plus for 50 dollars less, and you could use those 50 dollar savings on a better power supply or motherboard.

The P3 Plus is excellent value, but i think the MP44 is more dependable. Both are good.
