Feedback on a build

Bad motherboard choice. You have no need for a z170 since you aren't overclocking and that one has terrible features. There are cheaper H170 motherboards that are far better for your purposes. Get rid of the cooler (the stock one is good enough when not overclocking) and you can get a slightly faster CPU. Everything else seems fine, but if you could spend an extra $50 it'd be worth getting the GTX 1060 6GB instead. It's more powerful and the amount of RAM won't be a concern. I don't know much about SSDs, so someone can give their input there.

Here's my revision of your build:

CPU: Go with the i5-6500 instead.
CPU Cooler: Go with stock unless you want something quieter.
Motherboard: You can stick with Z170 for future upgrades but I'd get an ATX board.
Memory: Go with 2 sticks of 4GB for faster dual-channel operation.
Storage: You can start off with a SSD and add more storage later. That's your goal, right? The MX300 has a great price/performance ratio.
Video card: The 8GB RX 470 is more future proof than the 3GB GTX 1060. Has better DirectX 12 and Vulcan support.
Case: Better price/performance ratio.
Power Supply: Yours was already a great choice, you can still get it if you want, but I'd go for the EVGA at the same price, as it's slightly more future proof and Gold rated.
