What are you thinking of crossfiring? It'll do it but the second lane runs slower, not really a problem but you will lose maybe 5% performance, but to get anything that run 16x/16x will be expensive for the 5% increase.

It is a good board, I have a lower grade one and it is crossfired fine.

Well I dont think im in the right room to discuss GPUs but I have yet to decide on 1...or even 2 for this matter.
I honestly dont know what would go well with his board

It would be fine, what are you thinking GPU wise? I mean what resolution do you game at and what settings do you want? Also what games? My HD 7850' are the same as a HD 7970 really and at 1440p they can ultra BF3 easily with a overclock. Crossfire is only needed if you are doing triple monitors imo.

I usually game at 1080p, but im willing to see greater. Im into high-graphically demanding games like the Assassins Creed series. And I use a PS2 Emulator but the computer I have now is too weak in too many levels. Then I guess Crossfire isnt a necessity.
How about this...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127709

Im new to all this so i apologize in advance

Give me a budget and what country you are in then I'll make one for you and see what you think to it?

Really crossfire is for big cards like a HD 7950 or GTX 670 and higher, you can do it with smaller cards but you are better off going with a higher end card as dual card setups have problems like micro-stutter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_stuttering.

Crossfire is meant to be the worst for micro-stutter, but I have only had one or two times where it has happened. Thing is when it does happen most of the time you have to turn one of the cards off, giving you a massive drop in performance.
