Thoughts on this Editing/Gaming PC Build? Was planning on overclocking the 1700 (heard it can be overclocked to basically same level as the 1800x), but should I consider waiting for the new intel processors to release in a few weeks? Maybe get the 8core 7820x? Or is the 1700 better value when overclocked?

Do you already make money editing videos?
It would be an extreme waste of money if you don't.
If you do it looks good.
May get the g3 PSU instead, better quality.

Yeah I edit videos daily, I estimate building a new top of the line pc will save me about 1-2 hours per day. Current pc is super slow. Just can't decide between Ryzen or Intel. Ryzen better value but Intel maybe better optimized?

Doesnt take a high cost water cooler to max out Ryzens overclock. The stock cooler will get you about 3.7~3.8Ghz. With 4Ghz being about the max with a safe voltage this U12s is all you need. Also I picked you a better case for the price. I would suggest you wait till next month and get a 12 core Ryzen with the X399. Then the water cooler would make a more reasonable option.

If my math does me right that is like a 2.5K res monitor with just 60 refresh rate. My GTX 980 runs my 2K monitor just fine so a GTX 1080 should run that just fine.
580 bucks cheaper or so with a better drive setup. 250GB SSD for OS and programs, 120GB SSD for a scratch drive, 480GB SSD for all your games and the same 4TB for storage.
If your not going to OC the processor then get the 1700X and the H60 cooler a lower priced B350 board would also work.
