Hey , i currently having a problem with my 144hz monitor when i play games at 120+ fps i get the feeling of 144hz and its sooooo smooth but when its get to 90 fps and below i feel like im playing on 60hz and its so laggy i dont know what is the problem and im using dual link dvi-d and got the latest updates for my gpu that is asus strix a8g gtx 1080 and im using windows 10 here is the full specs
GPU : GTX Asus Strix 1080 A8G
CPU : Core i7 6700K
CPU Cooler : Hyper 212 Evo
Motherboard : MSI Z170A Gaming M3
Powersupply : Corsair CS850M
HDD : WD 1TB Black
SSD : Samsung 750 Evo 250GB
Monitor : ASUS VG248QE
its really feels laggy when 90 or below like 60hz on 50 fps or something i need help to fix this cause its annoying

Not sure if anyone can help you with the 'feel' of the video output you are getting. If you want higher FPS, turn down your graphics settings in game. Otherwise maybe VSync is causing the lag that you are perceiving. As long as your monitor has a response time below 5ms then there shouldn't be any lag in rendering each frame that you can perceive.

vsync is off and my monitor is 1ms im asking if this is a problem or what because before it wasnt

i dont understand what do you want from me to do

FRAPS is a free software that allows you to record your fps dats. FRAFS Bench Viewer is another free software that will use FRAPS data to calculate Ave fps, 1% Low, and 0.1% Low. Just helpful data to see how your system plays a game.

i know fraps , anyway i did the benchmark was in game Rising Storm 2 : Vietnam it was not smooth like in 100 fps i feel like its bad this is the benchmark

its not a drops or something the fps is normal and everything fine with fps but what i mean its feel laggy and its really not like the 100 fps thats showing its like below 60 its laggy thats what i mean with 90 - 100 fps or below i feel it is lagging

i wrote what im using up anyways its "Dual link Dvi-d"

its okay cause u are trying to help its okay :)

i will try to get DisplayPort and tell tell you what gonna happen with me

I might be off here, but I'm trying to help..... Could it be that you are too used to the extremely high fps? I mean, an average of 133fps is pretty amazing. And we know there are always going to be Lows no matter what, it just depends how low. For example, I play BF1 a lot and I get 90fps on average, but there are 0.1%Low that average 57fps. When the game is playing in the 80 and above range things are great, but sometimes I feel a slow down and that is evident in the 0.1%Lows. It isn't bad but just not as fast as I'm used to. This might be what you are experiencing. You are used to the Highs that when you get a really low low you notice it a lot.

envy14tpe has a point. I had a non-gaming laptop for five years; my games tended to run at or below 30 FPS. I got so used to it that when I finally built the computer I'm on now I actually got a little nauseous...from 60 FPS. Nowadays, I can tell when my games hit 30 FPS or lower without an FPS counter onscreen because it feels slow.

its might be it my brother is used to 60hz gaming laptop i told him to come check he said there is no lag its you ( me ) so maybe there are no problmes , but if its like that its means that i cant play any game below 120 fps cause it feels so damn laggy really unplayable

yeah true

i tried a display port didint change anything but i tried something i played on my brother laptop its 60hz i felt soooooo laggy its like a 30 fps for me so the problem with me not with the computer and now idk how to get back at 60hz so i dont feel the lag xd
