Few questions about cases and fans.

Well first off, I'm not buying anything at the moment, just mindlessly looking at computer components and I have a few questions...

I'm eyeing the Antec TX1050B
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129158)
And all the people there are saying the case door sucks a lot (mostly that it arrived broken... regardless though), on my google search for reviews on that case they are pretty much all saying great case yatta yatta.

Who should I be more prone to believing? Only reason I'm doubting newegg is because I know I'd be less likely to review an item if it came and it worked flawlessly, than if it arrived and it was broken, not sure if that's the general consensus.

On to my next question, looking at 80mm fans I have no idea what to look for in them. The 3/4 pin thing is confusing me, I don't get what's the better way to connect them. I'm thinking it's better to use the motherboards 3 pin connections rather than waste 4 pin cables on that power supply with the 1050b, that right? or doesn't really matter?

And another thing about the fans, if they happen to have led's on them, exactly how bright will they be? I plan on putting my computer in my room when I get around to it, will the led lights shine through the grill and side vents and be dancing on my wall when I'm trying to go to sleep?

Thanks for your time.

I believe both - great case, but the door hinges/whatever they are is flimsy. Knowing that I can decide whether or not I want that case. (I'm cheap, that case isn't, and I don't like doors anyways, but that's my personal opinion). Just take the newegg reviews with a grain of salt - you've got the right amount of cynicism, IMO.

Either plug will work fine. The mobo plug will allow the fan to be monitored and possibly controlled in software, but that's the only difference. If you dont' care what the RPMs are, just that it blows air, it doesn't matter which plug gets it.

Brightness depends on the LED. If you have a clear side panel (or clear case) they may be pretty bright. If you don't, there may be some glow thru the grills and such, but the fans spin so fast it probably won't be 'dancing' on the wall. :) Whether that glow is enough to bug you or not I couldn't say.
