1. What's the difference between Corsair and SODIMM? Which one is better?
2. Which is better, 1 RAM at 2 GB, or 2 RAM each at 1 GB? Both equal 2, but is one better?
3. Is 2 only needed for like advanced stuff? Just for gaming? Is 1 fine for things like internet browsing, and some gaming?

1. Corsair is a brand. Like Kingston, Crucial, Mushkin, Patriot, etc. SODIMM refers to laptop memory.

2. It really depends on what you're planning on doing. The typical setup would be 2x1GB (2 sticks, 1GB each) in dual channel mode.

3. Again, depends on what you're doing. Just surfing the internet? Probably 1GB is fine, even lower possibly. Photoshop/video editing? 2GB+. The latest games you should probably get 2GB unless its like monopoly or something with low minimum req's.

yup, perfect, also, with point 2, if you need 4+gb of ram, go for a single stick, if you need more bandwidth, go for many small sticks.
