Question Fiber Internet. Ethernet from wall to PC works, ethernet from router to pc does not

I recently moved, and had fiber installed. I can run an Ethernet cord from the wall outlet to my PC and have internet access. However, when I plug a router into the wall outlet, and then run an Ethernet cord from the router to my PC, there is no internet connection. My knowledge on internet connectivity is very limited, and I am at a loss on what to do. I've tried multiple resets, and I thought I got it work yesterday, but my PC went to sleep and somehow screwed up the connections. As a side note, my mac laptop can connect to the w-fi provided by the router, and has internet access. Any help is greatly appreciated.

probably some kind of router settings going wrong.

can you post a screenshot or sth of your router configuration as to IP-Address, connection type, subnet mask, DHCP settings, etc.

"Fiber" From who? US = Verizon?

We also need a better description of the whole connection layout.
How the signal comes into the house, how it is/was connected from the outside wall to the router, etc, etc.
As much detail as you can.
