fiery network problems

i have a small network (2 pc) and i want to connect a ricoh 5206 MFP
that comes with a fiery xj 170 RIP unit. i have the related software,
wiring and hub is OK, but it doesn't works. i can't find it in the
net. does anyone knows how can connect it ?

That model doesn't do SMB printing. It does AppleTalk, lpr, and Novell.

You set up an lpr port on your computer, and tell the driver to use that.

The lpr port involves the IP address you gave the Fiery, and the queue
name. On a Fiery, queue names are fixed: print and hold. Lowercase,
just like that.
