FIFA 18 Full Screen Problem (Windows 8.1) ?

Hi guys !! so yesterday i bought myself a brand new copy of FIFA 18 , everything good , i installed it and tried it , and it opened in windowed mode , at first i thought "well i guess it was ticked in the config file" i saw that it has some limitations when it comes to fps but i know some workarounds from FIFA 16 that might just work , but apparently i can't get FIFA 18 to start full screen , all i get is like a 2 seconds flickering when you can see that the game is trying to go Full but that's about it it stops in windowed mode...i can't use third-party apps as it doesn't run smooth ! If you guys have a clue or something i would very much appreciate the help !!!

Try to go to setting and do this
Make it Normal 4:3 and put it on fullscreen mode. If that doesent help I recommend re-installing it because the server may not have properly downloaded the game.

Most likely whatever resolution you have it set at is not supported by your monitor. Make sure to set the resolution and fullscreen in the game's options to ones your monitor supports.

Tried it already , my resolution it's alright , i don't actually know what causes it...

Which version of Windows do you have? I had Windows 8.1 and I had the same issue and no solution worked. But when I upgraded to Windows 10, my problem was automatically resolved and FIFA 18 loaded in full screen. It seems to be some issue with Windows 8.1 and FIFA 18. Let me know if it works.

I went with my laptop to a GSM and updated to Win 10, it does work now indeed but i've struggled a lot to find a way to make it full screen in Windows 8 but from what i've gathered it doesn't work in any possible way in Win8

I struggled a lot to make it work in Windows 8.1 too but finally gave up. Then I saw that my friend who had a laptop with the exact same specifications as mine could run it fine in full screen without any problems and so I decided to test that out on my laptop and it worked. It seems that there is no way to make it work in full screen in Windows 8.1 if it doesn't do so by itself. We should spread this message and tell other people who are having the same issue

Yeah, like i still see people struggling with this thing, i can't really say what the exact problem is with 8.1 but just upgrading to 10 solves the problem in the easiest way, and it's benefic aswell as it goes up in performance a lot instead of just playing it windowed with that horrible input lag.
