FIFA 18 Gameplay not smooth, Menus are fine

My FIFA 18 runs at a constant 120 fps. When in the menus everything is smooth and fine. However, if i play a match the game play looks as if its about 30-40fps, but the actual FPS is 120. In-game replays, cut scenes, and goal celebrations all run smoothly and look like 120 fps, but game play itself seems not as smooth.
