I was doing some simulations and noticed that with one particular
fighter type, no VCR's were generated when I tested it versus a Loki, no
matter what settings I used.
Finally I realised what is happening (I think).
The fighter's combat speed is 30. It simply can't intercept the Loki
which moves faster than the fighters(!!!) in the VCR. Some bit of combat
logic makes the two stay a bit away unless (I finally found) the Loki is
not set to 2nd wave.
Surely if both are set to attack (Loki: attack soft; Wing: attack
dangerous, plus assorted other commands during various iterations) it
stands to reason they'd close and fire.
I know there's a "cowardice" factor built into Wing logic if they lose a
few fighters but it seems a bit excessive.
