file explorer quick launch shortcut? NOT "libraries"

basically im trying to figure out a way to make a quick launch shortcut to my external HDD. whenever i try to make a shortcut from file explorer(right click, pin to start) i always wind up with a shortcut to the stupid libraries folder.

ive tried creating a shortcut to the desktop and then trying to pin that to the taskbar, no dice.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Just drag your external drive (from Explorer) ONTO the File Explorer icon of your task bar, that's it.

Right click the File Explorer icon whenever you want to browse your external. You'll see it on the list.
