[SOLVED] File Explorer Takes Ages to Load

I'll probably just end up reformatting it to be honest, but I would love to know the cause. Or for someone to suggest something to find out what it could be. But for a while now, my latpop has this annoying problem where File/Windows Explorer just takes aaaaaagggggeeees to load anything up before I can do anything. :-\

More information is needed.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Boot up your system and open Task Manager. Observe system performance for a few minutes or longer if necessary until everything steadies out.

Drag the Task Manager window to one side and leave it open. Then launch File Explorer and again watch Task Manager. See what happens or changes.

You can do much the same observation process via Resource Monitor and even Process Explorer.

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, and informational events that correspond with the slow File Explorer launches.,
