If I use File History for my backup, does it automatically include all non-system files, or do I have to select each folder that I want to backup? For example, does it include the hidden folder called "appdata" and the folder where my Steam game save files are?

Do backups always include hidden files or do I have to unhide them before backing up my drive?

Don’t use it. It’s absolute garbage. A good backup will backup everything. It won’t even backup any user other than the one who set it up. Use Acronis True Image for your onsite backup. Use Backblaze for your secondary off site backup.

I do have backblaze as offsite backup. Is that enough? Do they hold everything? They only save what's on C:drive right?

Backups are however you configure it.

But your question speaks to a deeper problem....Not knowing what they are backing up, and how to actually recover.

You need to get a handle on that.
