File Recovery after scam

Neighbour scammed into allowing remote access for about 30 mins, all user files gone and OS disabled. Guess files were moved as opposed to copied, will data recovery software find them?

Left an Easeus Data Recovery deep scan running overnight. Not a lot found in the regular User folders, but am hopeful as it recovered 'Lost Files' to the tune of 76Gb which contains yet more User Folders, still processing them. A lot of damage can be caused in a half hour! Wasn't even his laptop, it was his wife's, he'll be popular!

Good to hear that. You can also try TestDisk, that's supposed to dig more deeper and may salvage few more files for you.
