Hello, I have a Netgear 1Tb NaS that I have been tossing all my movies and games on for a few years. A few months ago my hardrive in my went bad and needed replaced. After the replacement i reinstalled windows.

Now i cant copy any files back to my computer larger than a few MB. I always get the "too large" error. I am now and always have been using WIN 7 My son can connect and has no problem retrieving files but he is running windows 10.

What is going on here? and how can I "fix" it??

I get the error code within seconds. Like I said, my son can copy any file and he is running win 10. I cannot now...even though I could before I replaced my hard drive.

Error code: Error 0x900700DF The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved.

Why would a new hard drive with the same OS from the SAME installation disc now be unable to save files from my network drive. I can write any size to it.

Did you try the fixes in the link previously posted?
