So I have Avast! antivirus and found FileRepMetagen infected svchost.exe. I ran a Boot-time scan and it only found 2 locations. The other was fine to delete. svchost is currently in chest but can I delete it? Will it actually delete svchost or just the virus? Thanks!

Solution
svchost.exe should be in C:\Windows\System32

if it was any where else then it should be safe to delete as its likely to be malware if it wasnt in C:\Windows\System32
