Question Files magically disappeering

Hey I'm completely clueless as to what is going on, I have a USB stick that I'm loading up with some files from my PC, I eject the flash drive then plug it back in and for some reason the folders are coming up "empty" what the hell is going on?

Are you sure that your USB drive may not be an knockoff?
Cause usually if they are knockoffs, instead of lets say full 32GBs you only get like 4GBs (or if you are lucky 8GBs), that may give you corrupted files or they overwrite the old ones.

Not that I know of, it's a larger capacity stick (1 terabyte) could that be why?

That is absolutely a fake 1TB flash drive.

It is a 4/8/16GB 1 or 2GB drive that they buy in bulk for $0.50 ea. The firmware is then flashed to make it appear to the PC as 1TB.
There is really only 1 or 2GB space, and it just continually overwrites.

Throw it in the trash.
