Files wont show on HDD after transfering

Hey guys.

I toke my HDD from laptop connect it to my PC and cut files from my PC HDD and paste them in laptop HDD. Now I connected laptop HDD back and now I cant see the files which I transfered...It shows that disk is not empty but I cant see anything. (I already checked show hidden files and it wont work)

Were you using Windows' explorer.exe, its file manager, or did you use a 3rd party file manager? What were those files? Sometimes, when I transfer install EXEs and ZIPs from one computer to another, either an anti-virus or anti-malware program will intercept the copy and paste operation, place a few, or some, or all of the EXEs and ZIPs into one or more quarantine buckets. Some programs will leave and some will not leave "ghost-trails", indicating quaratine has taken place.
