Hello, these are the parts I am planning on purchasing to build my new computer. Please look them over and let me know if you'd change anything. Also, does this power supply seem alright? I chose it because of the combo with the case. Thanks!

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming (not a hardcore gamer), movies, internet

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Not sure, have a 21.5 inch monitor. Suggest a resolution?

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Not interested in any AMD (even Phenom II) or intel i7. Would like to stick with an intel duo. Would like to have an ATI card. Would like to have a card that makes good use of the quality of my monitor. I don't mind spending more for quality parts, as long as they don't stray too far from my preferences. First time builder.

Nice build, just curious though....you have your cpu (E8500) listed as $154 when on newegg it's $190.

swap the hard drive for a Caviar Black 6400AALS instead of the one you have listed. It's quite a bit faster for a minimum price premium.

the rest looks fine, that 4890 (a card I own) will do whatever you need on your monitor. enjoy

Drop the CPU cooler. The stock cooler should be fine for you if you aren't OCing.

The 4870 is probably a better choice for a 21.5" monitor. That's only a 1440x900 resolution.

Thanks for the advice. I agree and think I will put off getting a cooler at this time, I doubt the games I will be playing will cause me to desire to oc anytime soon.

As for the video card, I figure I won't be upgrading it again for a while so I might as well spend a bit more for a slightly better card. I'm glad to hear that an older version of the card I chose would do well also though, and really glad you pointed out the resolution of my monitor for me.
