I have posted a few threads asking various things for this build, but this is the final idea:

I already have an HDD (2TB) and an NZXT case, this case has no USB 3.0 headers but I plan to get a front-mounted card reader with a USB 3.0 header on to fill this role.

I won't overclock.
I plan to game in 4k (any monitor suggestions would be appreciated, also, do I need a G-sync compatible monitor?)
I video edit a bit (hence the hyperthreading)
I have all other peripherals and windows 7 which I will transfer over from my old system and will probably upgrade to 10 after I'm sure it's stable and bug-free
My budget is around £1100 + monitor
I may add an additional 8GB RAM to the system later

Any thoughts?

I'd get a EVGA 750G2. That's about it. Seems good to me. Also, I'd probably get the Xeon 1231 to save some money since you won't be overclocking, won't use the integrated graphics but need the hyperthreading.

Are you sure the xeon won't bottleneck the 980ti?
Also, won't the 750W PSU be a little excessive for the total of about 400W for this system?

I like to be safe and leave some headroom and that is why I suggested 750W (especially in the case of overclocking) but 650W will work just fine. Don't get a Corsair PSU. Get one from EVGA/SeaSonic/Antec.

I also suggest going for 1440p gaming instead of 4k gaming. I believe current gen graphic cards are still not read for 60fps 4k gaming.

I'm happy with 40 fps, and I think I'll get that:

Would an EVGA Supernova be good enough quality?

Your CPU could handle sli with ease even without an OC.

Most people online overclock the 4790k when with the 980ti, besides, the description in this video said that they started hitting CPU bottlenecks ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GGvvjmb5L4 )
