Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week (the closer the better)

Budget Range: ~USD$2000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, HD Movies streaming... about it. heh.
Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Irrelevant but I guess newegg.com could do so that I know what to find on my side! :)

Location: Sunny Singapore, not a part of China.

Parts Preferences: Intel, Nvidia

Overclocking: Yes, just slighty on the CPU may try OC-ing the GPU and RAM.

SLI or Crossfire: Nope.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I would want a case with a side window! and... any suggestions on a monitor would be greatly appreciated although that is obviously not the focus. :)

Previously built one myself too and the friendly folks here gave me some great advice so I'm back for more!
My current build:
i5-2500k OC-ed
Asrock extreme 3 gen 3 (not really happy with the BIOS interface)
Cooler Master EVO
2x4GB Corsair Vengeance
MSI GTX 580 Twin Frozr II
WD Blue 1TB
Crucial M4 64GB
Phantom NZXT
Seasonic 660X Gold

So I'm building this new one for my cousin and since I'm doing it for someone else this time, I thought I should be asking for some advice! Don't want anything to go too wrong! :)

The NEW build!
Please advice! :)

CPU - i5-4670K
MOBO - Asus Maximus VI Hero
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master EVO
RAM- 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance
GPU - Nvidia GTX 780 (Asus/MSI?)
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 1TB or WD Black 1TB
SSD - Samsung 840 Series 120GB
CASE - Corsair 600T White
POWER - Probably another seasonic or corsair, help with the wattage please! :)
DVD - Any cheap DVD player I can find. :/

That's about it, is it good to go? :) Any advice is greatly appreciated, it would help if you could provide me with a reason if you advice a change of parts! thanks!😀

EDIT: Probably going to go with a ASUS or MSI GTX780 cause the colour matches the MOBO 😀
EDIT: Thinking of Seasonic X 660W or even the platinum series. Comments? :) Most likely MSI GPU too because of higher base clock rates.

Solution
Aplogies,skipped out the earlier part.

Nothing wrong with the CPU mobo.Depending on your budget, you can scale back on the mobo. It's entirely possible your cousin won't make full use of it's featues.Just look around for more Z87 boards
RAM: 8gb of ram is sufficient for gaming and a general purpose machine.

HDD:The barracuda is great. You don't really need the Caviar black. The blue series should be good

PSU: 550W should do the trick.600 if your cousin is going to do some moderate overclocking. That leaves some headroom.
Hello to a fellow Singaporean. May i ask if you intend on buying all the parts over at SLS or have some shipped over?I'm going to build as well but i am in two minds over shipping stuff over

Edit: Your cousin's intention's with this build?

Yeap, most probably getting from SLS.

Thought otherwise from shipping after considering warranty issues and such, and it's kind of urgent heh.

Gaming! HD Movies... thats about it. Typical boys stuff heh :)

Solution
Not really,no. I mean,it would be possible to get better build with that budget if we were in the US but prices over here don't exactly scale over perfectly(read: overpriced). So the value aspect of the PC is skewed against us.In terms of hardware, i can't mention anything more that hasn't been mentioned above

Another issue you might have is the combination of Corsair Vengeance RAM with the Hyper 212 Evo (assuming that's the cooler you mean). I think you'll need low profile RAM in the slot nearest the CPU if you're running four cards.
