Alright, so after consideration of all the helpful input from other users and consideration of all my options I think I have come up with my final rig components. As always, outside comments and suggestions are welcome. As far as color schemes go, I'm shooting for red/black/gray. I will be waiting to purchase the components until cyber Monday / black Friday to hopefully save some cash in the neighborhood of $500-$750. Also if you know of any way to help cut down on the cost without losing (or even boosting) performance I'd love to hear it.

All excellent parts, however out of personal preference and experience I'd recommend the ASUS Strix 1080 8GB OC card. I've hit 2025 MHz on auto-overclock. Runs like a dream and nice and cool at 66C max while full load.

My bad didn't mean to click on solution (not to say it was a bad comment). I chose the monitor for price, refresh rate, and decent resolution. Not sure if I really need the second GPU but will wait and see how much they go on sale for. As far as the strix goes, I wanted it but was reading up and found there have been a lot of quality controls recently with it and Gigabyte has always been a strong and reliable performer so I thought I would give them a shot.
