Solution
Don't be silly, that's heaps! :)
Get everything except the monitor, that usually goes for $200 or less, wait for it to drop again, it's on a spike today.
If you want OS, sub out the 1080 for this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ph38TW/evga-geforce-gtx-1070-8gb-sc-gaming-video-card-08g-p4-5173-kr

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Amazon)

Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($97.99 @ Amazon)...

instead of that EVGA

On a side note I have that PSU. It's been powering my rig(970 FTW, 4690K, 8GB RAM, 5 drives(1 optical) and 1 SSD, 6 fans212 Evo) for over a year. No issues. Guess I was the lucky one.

I will eventually upgrade to the 1070

under $75

Have a 32" 1080p TV now.

I obviously need a new CPU cooler. CPU's on fire 🙁

So just get a better PSU? and also i thought this was a decent pc build, not really budget. I am also using this for gaming, so this can get good fps on games like overwatch, csgo, or ghost recon wildlands right?

I don't have any parts yet and my budget is 1500, including monitor and keyboard. So not a lot i guess

I would also take a closer look at your monitor. It has AMD's freesync which will do nothing for your Nvidia card.

Yes it will on a 1080p monitor. What about growth? You are considering a 6700K. You may eventually upgrade your 1060. Once one gets to and past the 1070's level of performance a 1080p 60Hz/75Hz monitor won't allow the user to experience the buttery smooth action and graphics clarity capable of making one's eyes bleed. Maybe a 1440p monitor instead? Maybe a 144Hz monitor instead? Making that purchase now can save you the upgrade down the road.

With some games approaching and exceeding 50GB a 120GB SSD really doesn't have any value other than time. Quicker boots and Windows navigation. A few other small bonuses but none of your games will benefit from its speed which can seriously reduce game load times, upping the immersion factor. A 250GB SSD(or larger) would be preferred so you can fit a fair number of games on the drive as well as your OS and other media that can benefit from the SSD's speed.

The way budget was used in this thread was never meant as a judgement. Instead it was asking your to set a price point. The most money you wanted to invest into this PC. You picked a last generation CPU. In order to update your build with the current CPU/motherboard and RAM a budget was needed.

Nice. I saw that card and tossed my plans. Then I see. The OS. It all becomes clear.

Wait I'm confused, doesn't OS mean mac or the apple system? I think it isn't but idk what it means

Ok thanks dude, I will be getting my own keyboard and mouse, but everything else will be from you. Is there any computer assembly things I need or any other tips you can give me?

Get the keyboard and mouse I listed, I beg you! 😛
The mouse is fantastic, and the keyboard is a Cherry MX Blue mechanical keyboard, gives much more tactile feedback meaning you can feel when the click actuates rather than the mushy feeling you get with membrane keyboards.
Definitely worth the cash.

Watch as many videos and guides as you can to assembling a PC, I recommend watching Paul's Hardware's build Vlogs and Gamers Nexus videos as they are quite in depth.

If you want it all from Amazon it's gonna cost you a bit more, comes out to $1470 without keyboard and mouse assuming you wait till the XF240H is cheaper.
