I have made order for this computer, can still make some changes if I want to. So let me know if you see any issues.

Does the GA-MA790X board come with newest bio to support 955 CPU?

swap that hitachi drive for a samsung drive since they're just as cheap and perform better while being more reliable.

and maybe change the PSU to a corsair or PCP&C one.

The latest BIOS (F4) has been out for less than a month.
Your board might have it. But you should be prepared to do an early update.
Even without the F4 BIOS your 955 should boot and run.
Everything else looks OK.

Gigabyte doesn't even show a BIOS revision prior to F4. All current CPU's are supported by the F4 BIOS:

You should be fine using the Phenom II X4 955 out of the box with that board.
