As the title suggests, which GTX970 model should I buy...please help me choose one of them...

1)Zotac AMP Ext Core OR
2) msi Gaming 4G.

Main Purpose - FSX/P3D-v3 & while not flying on NGX, All latest PC titles.....

I'd recommend waiting for Pascal, if you don't need the GPU right now.

i 7 4770 nonk, @ 3.9 Ghz
Intel DB85FL
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16GB @ 1600Mhz
500 Wt PSU
Present GPU is Asus GT640 2GDDR3.

And How long would pascal take to come in market , is I think not certain...beside I am in India and price here in GT 980ti, GT 970 is around double then US already...So I will have to sell my kidneys to get PASCAL GPU, I think.....

I think they're supposed to come out in Q2-Q3. But, with that said, the price of Maxwell based cards ((900 series)) will drop after Pascal release.

I can take that as a good suggestion because HBM is a long awaited tech and nvidia is really testing our patience. How long would I have to wait is not certain ?? Any definite dates ??? and my Asus's kepler chip is already bed ridden with multiple addons being used in FSX/P3D... { Well its all a different topic---and I may have to start or switch to another threads pertaining to it } .... In other countries price would fall significantly with the Pascal launch but it would reduce the price of 900s here by 3 digits only........


But Its difficult to hold the temptation and I have to fight with my own self.....Lets see How worth it would be......Thanks for tips friends.I Sincerely appreciate the time you guys have taken and sent your suggestions....

I could not hold anymore friends and have bought Zotac GTX970 Extreme Core Edition with 4GB.

As it was bought online, awaiting delivery.Obviously it is a MAxwell over kepler in my case, so there won't be any question on how the performance would be.
