i know this game is old, but i am having a problem playing this game. the problem comes during the train ride to timber, the game goes into the dream seq and at the first battle, the game crashes and quits abruptly. this is bizarre, because i have already played through this part not too long ago, less than a week. here are my systems specs, any thoughts would be helpful. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, same problem. i didn't erase my save folder, moved it while i unistalled and reinstalled.

i am perplexed, and square doesn't offer much techninal support for this game. you help please

I'd reload Winme, if it was me.

But since I don't like the new Final Fantasy genere, it wouldn't EVAR be me, so I wouldn't.

I'd play Thief: The Dark Project instead...

[Jedi mind trick] You LOVE Palladium. [/mind trick]

Hmm, had no problem finishing that game. Did you get rid of every mem/cpu hogging software via the end task option.

Ouch then you have windows ME!

the Prisoner...

I'm not a number, I'm a free man! 😡

IMG, that was and still is the best game I've ever played!!! Played it on my PlayStation2. If you really want to finish the game, get the epsxe emulator and Final Fantasy VIII (PlayStation version). I was able to purchase the PlayStation version for about $12 (used) 3 months ago.

Can't wait for a PlayStation2 emulator. *drool*

That would be quite an undertaking. Kudos to whoever manages to do it.
Indeed! These fellows seem to be making quite a bit of progress.

Impressive.

I don't really need a PS2 emu though. I like the setup I have right now. My comp is set up on my desk right next to my little 13" RCA w/PS2 setup. I don't need to move for hours on end...a slacker's dream 😎
