Final Gaming PC component list, one last look over before it's game on?

I think I might just about be ready to pull the trigger on building a new gaming PC. I've taken information from various threads that people have helped with and these are the pieces I think will get me what I'm looking for; a PC that can be overclocked down the road if I need greater performance but should last me 3-4 years of gaming before upgrading. I'll be adding an ultrawide monitor in a couple months so it needs to be powerful enough to give me the resolutions the monitor requires as well. I was going to go with a liquid cooler but given the possibility of a failure that could ruin the other components(and my inability to just go out and replace my rig) I thought an ungraded fan heatsink would offer me the cooling I needed while still giving me peace of mind. I know when assembling the person doing it has to be grounded. Each component should be unboxed individually to confirm contents are present before assembling.
I was hoping the pieces could get one final look over for compatibility with each other and to make sure the case is acceptable to house everything. Have I missed anything or does anyone have any advice that I should keep in mind?

The i7-6700k has had some reports of bending under the weight of a heatsink but one reported case seems to have been from the torque from a power screwdriver that was used during installation but I still tried to find one that wasn't too heavy...

This piece I'll be adding in 3-4 weeks AFTER the rest of the PC is assembled.

A much larger secondary drive will be added after the build is complete; likely an external one in case I should ever have to take it to a repair shop.

Bluray optical drive to be added later

looks pretty good. i have a few suggestions/comments:

1) a single 250gb ssd is not enough storage. id say add a 1tb wd blue or black drive with this.

2) gonna be tough finding i7-6700k unless you are near a microcenter with one in stock.

3) ddr4 is quad channel. that means it runs best with 4 sticks, not 2.

4) get a different cooler and case to match the red/black thing going on. blue lights on a case with a red/black build is bleh. noctua is awesome but their fans look like poop.

use www.pcpartpicker.com next time to post your build. this is confusing and unnecessarily long.

Alternative parts to swap if you can't find an i7-6700k:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($364.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI X99A GAMING 7 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($249.99 @ Amazon)

1)The single SSD is just for the operating system at the moment with a second drive being added soon after. I've been sharing a computer for basic use for awhile now and we're both ready for me to get my own :)

2)I found a combo pack that offers it :)

3)That I did not know, so will likely go to 32 GB in that case

4)I'm not overly concerned about appearance but I see where you're coming from.

Ok, that site is awesome! I somehow missed it's existence when reading all the various threads but that is definitely great to test everything.

Looks like I might be buying myself a nice Christmas present later today 😀

I read 8 is the usual for gaming but for other applications the increase could prove useful. The MSI M7 is listed as having:

"Number of Memory Slots
4×288pin
Memory Standard
DDR4 3600*(*OC)/ 3200*/ 3000*/ 2800*/ 2600*/ 2400*/ 2133
Maximum Memory Supported
64GB
Channel Supported
Dual Channel"

I thought that meant two sticks are preferred?

Honestly, 4K doesn't blow me away the way it seems with some people. I don't see a strong desire to go 4K for a long time. $2000 is what I feel comfortable with(PC/OS/keyboard/mouse/etc)
I would like the capability to do some video editing, yes.
Color preference isn't a concern to me as long as the capabilities are there.
