Title says it all, I need help choosing the final pieces on my first build.
The final parts that are needed are the CPU and MOBO.

I have 2 options in mind but not sure which to go with, or if there is a better option out there.
option 1- AMD Fx-8350
Option 2-Intel I7 4790k

But there is a small catch to this sadly -_-.
i'm currently on a laptop, and don't have a monitor, but could use my tv as a monitor till I buy a new one. My tv's Resolution when I hook it up to my laptop says "1360 x 768 (Recommended)"

If I buy the AMD Fx-8350 I would be able to buy a 1080p monitor as-well
If I buy the I7 4790k It would use all of my budget and wouldn't be able to buy a monitor until I saved more money to purchase one.

Things this computer is going to be used for: Gaming, Live-Streaming, Video Recording/Editing.
Which would handle gaming/live-streaming better?

These are the items I have already purchased:

Solution
With the Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz 11,238 benchmark, and the AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 8,995. Both will game fine with your R9 280 card, it is up to you if you want the monitor now or later!

Solution
Take the 8350. OC it to around 4.5 ghz and it'll do everything you need it to. One of the best budget CPU's for video editing.

I mainly say that because using a tv as a monitor is honestly the worst thing I've ever tried to do - a monitor looks so much better in everything, especially going from 720p to 1080p.

First of all, DO NOT GET THAT Corsair CX psu. It's mediocre at best and that's a terrible price.
Second of all, do not get the FX8350. It's old.
Third of all, do not get the i7 4790k. It's expensive. :)

So what should you get then? The Xeon e3-1231v3. That's what.

CTurbo does have a good point with the Xeon, but I would balance it up.
I recently made this decision myself but edged toward i7 as it has the faster clock speeds ( 4.4 Ghz turbo )
and it has an unlocked multiplier and will easily get to 4.6 Ghz ( If all goes well ) on your 212 evo, so it has the performance edge.
But performance per doller Xeon is the one to go for.

The FX8350 comes out only $16 cheaper, but is no where near the performance level of the Xeon.

1. I already purchased everything that I listed, so I wont be changing Psu's.
2. Old doesn't mean its bad
3. The I7 4790k is $279.99 on microcenter and the Xeon E3 1231 is $256.99 on amazon, so not much price difference.
4.The Xeon E3 does not have Intel QuickSync since this chip has no integrated graphics, so the 4790k would be better then it for streaming
5. I do plan to overclock, and the xeon is not overclockable

It's not that the FX is "bad," it's just not better in any way.

$279 is a great price for the i7 so I would go with that. You absolutely 100% would not need to overclock it as it's already running at 4.4ghz. Of course the i7 is better then the Xeon. Nobody would ever dispute that. It's just usually WAY more expensive. It would only end up being about $50-60 more in this case which isn't that bad.
