Hi again. As this will be my first PC build, I want to be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that I will get the performance I want for what I am buying. Here is my build, I'll be purchasing it tomorrow afternoon. The only thing I'm undecided on is the video card so I would appreciate the help on that. Also, I would not be opposed to SLIing an earlier gen card if someone would recommend it over 1 current gen card. Anyway, here it is.

-ASUS P8Z77-V Motherboard
-i7 3770k (Maybe OCing, I hear it's a pretty simple task)
-Corsair H80 CPU Cooling (For OCing)
-16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws RAM (Don't mention 8 gb, I feel better with 16)
-Either GTX 670, AMD XFX 7970 Black Edition, or GTX 680 if it's in stock tomorrow (HELP HELP)
-1 TB HDD (Western Digital Caviar Blue 7200 RPM 6gbs)
-Crucial M4 128GB SSD
-ASUS DVD Optical Drive
-Windows 7 Home Premium
-Corsair TX850w (For SLI/XFire in the future maybe)
-NZXT Phantom 410 Case (White)
-Microsoft Sidewinder X4 Keyboard
-Razer Deathadder Mouse

The main purpose of this is GAMING as I've said in my previous post with a small role for schoolwork (powerpoint, word, excel) and itunes, etc.

TOP PRIORITY GAMES:

**Batman Arkham City
**SWTOR
**BF3
**Max Payne 3
GW 2
AC 3
Far Cry 3

I just want to max these games with no issues. Please help me put my mind at ease with my first build haha. I'm tired of thinking about it lol

Ok.

1. In what world is 100 dollars not a big saving?

2. 680's are sold out everywhere and the ones on amazon are all 680 - 900 bucks.

So the unanimous decision seems to be the 670. And that would max those games and then some? Like I said, I want to be 100 percent positive about that. And is it really better than the 7970? Awesome. But i'll wait to hear the answer to that question.

The 670 has got to be the choice, I bought the 680 and after seeing the stats on the 670 I wish I had waited, A small overclock and this is kciking at the 680s heels, its not chump change you would be saving either

Never OC'ed a GPU or CPU before, is it a simple process with a gpu? If so, it would make sense to OC it to a stock 680 and save 100 bucks, problem is, I'm clueless on how to do so.

When your spending a lot on a computer, $100 isn't much, considering its only 5-105 of your overall price.

And heres a 680 for cheap

IDK, if you want to save $100 get the 670, if your looking for bleeding-edge performance get the 680

Wow, good find on the 680 for 530 dollars. That's the one for sure. Thanks. I'll even shell out 20 bucks for the superclocked one. Thanks so much for your help guys! My build is complete. I'm so excited.
