Solution
Looking for 8 SATA connector and having had bad experiences before with Bios upgrades (currently use Gigabyte Dual bios for safety). VIII has bios recovery.
Well there any many that have BIOS recovery on the latest chipsets with multiple SATA.

This for example:

CrashFree BIOS 3, 8 SATA ports plus other storage.
Nearly half the price!

Also I'd choose quality over sounds for the PSU.
A Seasonic FOCUS Plus Gold or Corsair RMx for example. Quiet still but...

Out of curiosity, why do you have a 1000W PSU? Your rig can probably run easily on a good quality 500W.

Also the Power Zone PSUs are decent, but not fantastic, there are much better units for a much better price in the UK.

What will be your main PC usage?

It's really expensive.

You could build a better gaming system for significantly cheaper.

Purpose of this build?

Save yourself a little, and get the Dark Rock 4 instead.

No secondary drive?
Get an Intel 660p for the OS, and another 1TB SSD for everything else:

You don't need a 1000w psu when your build won't use anywhere near that amount. 550 - 600w would be enough:

I realise 100W is overkill - will change it to 750W (with future proofing in mind). Gone with be Quiet PSU for quietness. Idealy I need a good PSU with long cables so I do not need to go for extensions.

Also, I am a NON- Gamer. Main usage is home photo / video editing, little business work, browsing etc. 32Gb is also future proofing (can afford it currently!).

The case is not for display purposes and will be under the desk.

Thanks a lot. Will check these out. Your MB suggestion looks good. My main priorities are 8 SATA (Guess can use a pci SATA card as well) and Bios recovery (have had sleepless nights over recovery!!)

One of the biggest issues I've seen with BIOS updating besides the rare chance of bricking the board is updating from a very old BIOS to the newest can cause issues. Better off getting them in order.

Absolutely agree. Have had bitter experience with a Gigabyte Dual bios updates in the past. Tried to jump versions and failed badly!! Had to recover the bios from dual backup and go through the sequence. Worked like a dream:)

Any major difference in GSkill in my list to your suggested Corsair? Actually, I would prefer Non-RGB. Thanks.

Also, I have 8 very large Terabyte hard drives which I intend to use.

Not sure if I need RTX 2080 as I am not a Gamer.
