Final pc build 2018 thoughts

With some help from snipergod87 here in the forums and a bit of my own tweaking, I have come up with this build.
I already have a gpu, monitor, mouse keyboard and storage.

Looks good except I'm not liking the VRM cooling on that motherboard. I really wish ASRock would have done better in that respect.

any suggestions on a different mother board in roughly the same price range?
also ive been going back and forth between this i5 and the i7 8700k, ive been reading that the i5 will be good for another 10 years, by then i'll have enough money to upgrade anyway. Can I throw the i7 into the same motherboard?

Well, looking at the other boards in that price range the one you picked isn't too bad. The cheapest ASUS board has similar VRM cooling and the cheaper MSI board has less power phases.

You can definitely put the i7 in the same board.

thank you, one last question, is it worth getting m.2. ssd storage, as the boot disk over sata ssd storage right now if I wanted to upgrade from my hhd? I think this motherboard can handle it

If you're on a budget I don't think it's worth it. SATA III SSD is fast if you have a good one. But M.2 can be faster if you have the money for it.
