Final PC Build

Solution
I play games from 2011 and older. I brought this Graphics card as basically the minimal necessary to play Grand Theft Auto V, which I should be able to play at 1080p with normal settings. I should be able to get decent frame rates. On all the older games I can play them at their max settings at 1080p.
I have SimCity 5 which was released in 2013 and I can play it at 1080p with maxed out settings. According to benchmarks I should get near 60fps at normal settings in GTA V. Which is fine for me as my monitor is a 27" 1080p TN display running at 60hz.

first point. would it not be better to go with skylake now that it's out? or is cost too high? hopefully intel will get some more chips out there soon and the prices will come back down.
second point. consider the 4gb over the 2gb 960? I think having a bit more vram is going to be helpful over the coming years.
third point. an i5 and an extra £100 on your gpu to get a 970 or 390 would be best.

Thanks! That's all your suggestions?

If you can afford it I suggest a card with the Nvidia 970 GPU such as the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0 Video Card. It doesn't have to be EVGA. ASUS, Gigabyte, etc. are all ok. Just keep in mind there are differences between each card so when comparing the 970 card offerings you want to pay attention to the clock speed they ship with. For example the EVGA card I mentioned is clocked at 1.17Ghz from the factory.

I'm kinda stuck in between your suggestion with i5 and i7
Im gonna use it mostly for
Video editing
LoL
Dota 2
Cs Go
Photoshop

I have the GTX 950. I don't play any new games but its suppose to be suitable for new games at normal video settings and a resolution of 1080p. You may want to consider the AMD R9-380 with their recent price drops. The downside to the R9-380 over the 950 and 960 is increased power consumption.
