This is my final build. If anyone thinks its in balanced or has any flaws please point them out. Could I upgrade this in the future, I'm not massively keen on the mobo but it will do for now. I'm hoping to be able to play most new games in high detail. (Games like day z, wow, cod)

That is a great CPU so swaying you away from it is tough. If your budget allows stick with it. Add to that a budget minded CPU cooler (Hyper 212 Evo) and you have a great processing platform to overclock. That being said, you could scale back to the i5-3470 if overclocking is something you are not interested in.
I would opt for a 550w PSU and anything but the WD Blue HD (look toward Seagate), but you are in good shape. Add to that an aftermarket CPU Cooler and you are set for a nice little overclock of that C3 revision CPU. The Hyper 212 is a budget friendly option.

At your price point you are looking at an AMD build unless you want to go with an Intel G series CPU. If you can stretch the budget a bit, the FX 6300 is a good option also as would be an i3-3225. There is nothing wrong with overclocking as long as you have an aftermarket CPU cooler (and it is installed properly). The Phenom X4 and the FX series both respond well to overclocking without major changes in voltage.

I've changed the build now. But is the i5-3570k going overkill for the build? because i would like to shave some pounds off the price.
