A quick question about Xbox controllers. From what I have read, the Xbox one controller is unable to be used wirelessly with a PC. Is this correct?

In regards to connecting displays, I plan on having two monitors going (eventually and a connection to my TV. Would I use 1 HDMI on each monitor to connect to the display port connections on the GPU via an adapater? and have the TV connected to the other HDMI on each monitor?

Thanks for your help.

If you compare to my build, they are very similar, and I will tell you now that it is a great build ;).

Yes, wireless Xbox controller work just fine.

IMPORTANTLY, about your ports. Only one of those is an HDMI. 3 of them are display ports. You would use those to hook up your monitors, and the HDMI to your TV.

About your ram, in order to utilize the dual channel memory controller, you need at least 2 sticks of ram (2x4gb) instead of a single 8gb. However, if you are planning on putting in another matching 8gb chip in the near future, you could put up with single channel transfer for the time being...
But for double the memory bandwidth for a very similar price, I wouldn't over look that.

Looks good otherwise, happy computing!

Thanks for your answer :)

So the Xbox ONE controller can be used wirelessly with a PC?

The BenQ monitor I have selected has the following connections -"Input Connectors: D-sub/ DVI-DL(Dual Link)/ HDMI x 2/ Headphone Jack/ Line in"

What would be the optimal connections to go for with these ones available?

Thanks

Thanks :)

I didn't realise that, in that case I will go for the 2 by 4gb as there isnt much difference in price :)

About the Xbox One (Wireless) controllers, as I understand it you must connect it with a microUsb cable. Defeating the purpose of "wireless". PS4 controllers are able to connect wireless via blutooth if you have something capable of receiving blutooth signal on the motherboard (or aftermarket dongle of some type). Food for thought (although I could be out of date on my wireless Xbox One infomation).

That is what I was worried about, better to know now than after I buy them. Thanks :)
