Finalizing new build this week, 1070 ti, haven't picked a CPU yet

I'm going with this build in the event I go with an AMD CPU, which I'm leaning towards currently for budget reasons.

With the release of Zen 2 next year I figured this motherboard would be good to already have in the event I decide to eventually upgrade to the new line of AMD CPU's down the road.

I do not have a monitor currently, but plan on getting one on the cheaper side until I can save up for a 144hz 1440p monitor.

I am receiving the RAM as a gift so upgrading it higher than 2400 isn't an option currently but I am hoping to be able to overclock a little bit higher.

Specifically, I want to ask if the processor/mobo combination is a good selection, and whether or not I should swap to the blue team. If so, which motherboard should I pair with which processor?

If I were to go with the AMD CPU, will that RAM be alright, albeit at the loss of a few potential frames?

Any feedback at all is greatly appreciated.
