FYI after more than a year SiS decided to release a mini port ide driver. Yeah I don't have to use the default XPSP1 driver. And ealry tests suggest some performance increases. OS and Games load noticeably faster. PCMark 2k2 went from 850 to 975 (+14.7%) and Wintune cached went down from 400MB/s to 375MB/s (-6.25%) but the uncached went from 6MB/s to 24MB/s (300%)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) I'll edit this in the morn with the SiSoft Sandra 2003 Pro results.

Well I read the txt in SiSoft Sandra 2003 Pro and it says that results are not comparable to older versions 🙁. Anyway I got 26300 which is right in the right range for a 7200 40GB FAT (finally). My hdd always performed lower than comparable systems with different chipsets with all benchmarks previously stated, not anymore :).
If anyone can give there HDD config and SiSoft Sandra Pro scores PLEASE post.

I just bought a Western Digital 60GB 7200......I'm using SiS Ultra 745 motherboard. I'll post scores sometime down the line, being curious about this as well.
