All that low-level mf'ing paid off, because I finally got a gull.

I was running norm cowking, andy, meph, coldcrow, rakanishu, griswold,
smith, and diablo in large games. I did over forty runs, and
altogether I got the complete death's set, twitchthroe, and 2
tarnhelms.

All of which I then traded for a gull.

So I highly recommend low-level mf'ing. It's a great way to get all
the items you need to trade for a gull.

As for finding a gull itself, that'll never happen. Mark my words.

heh, only if you are looking for one!
I found one earlier this ladder season, and still have not found a use for
it.

Well, I bet you're playing in the expansion, where there are other
weapon sources of mf. (Though even there, my mf sorc keeps a gull on
switch.)

In classic, the gull took me from 200 mf to 300 mf, which is getting
near the maximum. The only way to improve on
gull+tarnhelm+goldwrap+chancies+rareboots+pnagels+rareammy is by
adding milabrega's shield (+20%), getting perfect versions of the
gloves and belt (another +15%), swapping in a 3-socket p-topaz helm
for the tarnhelm (+22%), and using a soj to craft a 2 socket armor for
p-topazes (+48%). Of these, the only desirable choices are the armor
and get-perfect-versions ones.

Now I can put all that mf to work on not finding sojs. (In the
unlikely event I ever find 2 sojs, my hellforge rushing sorc will be
complete.)
