Finally happened to me. :>

I like reading about the games folks find on the
side of the road. I'm happy to say it finally
happened to me. :>

Traveling to Church one Sunday morning (see it
pays to go to Church) and found a Gravitar sitting
on the side of the road. Needless to say I
slammed on the breaks and took a look. I was sad
to see it had been converted, but the cabinet was
still in nice shape with good side-art, front,
etc. Fortunately, a buddy of mine was looking for
this game and already has most of the parts (He
still needs a wiring harness and I understand
Gravitar, Black Widow and Space Dual all use the
same harness. Anyone have one???), just lacked
the cabinet. He's already looking forward to
the restoration, so we can count this one saved!

It has a WG7000 series monitor, but the neck is
smashed. Anyone know of WG49xx tube is typically
compatible with WG7000 series chassis or is the
tube usually different? I suspect different, but
thought I should ask.

Congrats on your find.
Those all use the same harness so you should be able to find one fairly
easy.

Technically, the don't use the *same* harness - the basics such as power and
video are the same but SD differs in that it uses a 24 pin Molex connector
at the control panel to hold all of the additional wires going to the
control panel. You can use a SD main harness, it just won't mate to the
factory Gravitar control panel harness. :)

Yeah, technically the control panels have some different wiring/ connectors.
I play all three games in my SD cab.
I have customized the connectors to switch between panels easily, plug and
play.
if you get a Gravitar harness you would have to add some control wires to
play the other two, easy enough to do.

I do too.. The SD harness is the best bet for multi-game useage. :)

Yep. I have mini adapter looms made up to mate between the SD and GR/BW/MH
CPs.

You can add standard wires stolen from, say, a spare JAMMA harness into the
GR/BW harness to add the additional controls for SD, etc...

WG49xx and wg7000 have different pins on the neck.

7000 has a smaller neck with 8 pins 46xx has larger neck with 10 pins
